Back End Developer (Node JS)

We are hiring – Backend Developer (Mid)

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Location: Nagapattinam / Chennai

About the Role:

We need a pragmatic Backend Developer to design and build reliable APIs and data services. You’ll implement server-side logic, data models, and integrations; improve performance and security; and help maintain CI/CD and observability.Key Responsibilities:

•  Design and develop REST/GraphQL APIs and business logic using Node.js.
•  Model and maintain relational/noSQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred; MySQL or MongoDB acceptable).
•  Write database migrations, optimize queries and ensure data integrity.
•  Implement authentication, authorization and security best practices.
•  Build automated tests, logging, metrics and automated deployments.
•  Collaborate with frontend and product teams to define contracts and SLAs.
•  Troubleshoot production incidents and participate in on-call rotation (if applicable).

Requirements:

•  3+ years of backend development experience (Node.js ecosystem).
•  Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills (TypeScript preferred).
•  Hands-on with PostgreSQL (preferred) and/or MySQL or MongoDB; SQL fluency.
•  Experience building and documenting REST or GraphQL APIs.
•  Knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT, role-based access).
•  Familiar with testing frameworks, CI/CD, container basics (Docker).
•  Understanding of observability (logs, metrics, tracing) and performance tuning. 

Preferred:

•  Experience with ORMs / query builders (Prisma, TypeORM, Knex).
•  Familiarity with message queues and async processing (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
•  Cloud deployment experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) and infra-as-code basics.
•  Knowledge of security audits and data protection best practices.
