About This Role
We are seeking a Cloud Data Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy designing and developing scalable cloud-native applications, working with large datasets, and collaborating with data engineering teams. The position requires hands-on expertise in GCP BigQuery, Datafusion, and infrastructure tools such as Cloud Functions, App Engine, and Cloud Run.
What You’ll Do
- Write and debug complex SQL and PL/SQL queries in GCP BigQuery.
- Build and maintain GCP-based infrastructure using Google Cloud Functions, App Engine, and Cloud Run.
- Collaborate with data engineers to process and manage large datasets using GCP services including BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
- Ensure best practices for performance, security, and scalability of cloud applications.
- Develop unit tests and maintain documentation to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and debug cloud-based applications and services in production environments.
- Apply cloud-native development principles across projects.
- Work with both SQL and NoSQL database systems and data processing frameworks.
- Experienced professional with 7–10 years in SQL, PL/SQL, and cloud-based development.
- Proficient in GCP BigQuery and Datafusion.
- Skilled in building and maintaining GCP infrastructure.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiar with data warehousing concepts and large-scale data processing.
- Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
