Passionate about translating customer wishes into software design: your position

As an IT professional, you want to work on solutions that matter. With an “automate everything” mindset you take care of maintaining, monitoring, keeping safe and improving our Cloud platform — while also being open to support existing client-server solutions (Windows Server / SQL Server) that are still in use at smaller hosters. We value engineers who appreciate the importance of these environments for our customers and can help us gradually migrate them into our modern Cloud platform.

We expect you to keep yourself updated on the latest trends and investment themes for the coming years, including container technology, container orchestration (Kubernetes) and public Cloud themes (AWS and Azure).

You successfully fulfil your role by:

• Monitoring and guaranteeing the continuity and availability of the Cloud platform, based on existing service-level agreements.
• Thinking about quality improvements of processes, procedures and information provision.
• Monitor the progress of tickets and ensure that they are handled appropriately with appropriate substantive feedback. Answer cloud-related questions for partners, and internal and external customers.
• Supporting migration activities of Windows/SQL-based client-server environments into the corporate Cloud platform.
• Actively maintaining non-cloud-native infrastructure like VMware hosted platforms.
• To be actively involved in researching, testing and implementing new Cloud technologies.
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 Cloud Stand-by Service
  
  

Profile

To maintain our success, we need you to translate our customers’ needs into a cloud solution for our web-based enterprise products, together with your multidisciplinary team members, who also develop and maintain our cloud-based development avenue, as well as the cloud management tools that Operations uses.

Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

• Bachelor or University education in the field of computers.
• 2-4 years of experience with software engineering or experience as a Cloud Engineer.
• Knowledge of public Cloud technology (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong exposure to Azure services such as SQL Managed Instance, Service Fabric, Service Bus, and Entra ID.
• Willingness to support client-server architectures at regional hosting providers and assist in the migration of cloud-based infrastructure.
• The capacity to automate as much manual work as possible based on infrastructure-as-code. Knowledge of Bicep, Jenkins, or Terraform is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of ticket-based work (Kanban) approaches such as Azure DevOps or Jira is a plus.
