Impact
Cisco is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Integration Engineer to drive the integration of cloud-native solutions across major public cloud providers into cisco products. This role focuses on managing cloud infrastructure components, enabling seamless integration with cisco product ecosystems, and delivering scalable, high-availability solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in all the major public cloud provider services.
As a Cloud Integration Engineer at Cisco, your contributions will:
- Enable seamless synchronization between Cisco's AI infrastructure and major public cloud ecosystems.
- Drive the scalability, resilience, and performance of cloud-native solutions for customers.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient integration across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
- Simplify cloud operations and enhance the customer experience by ensuring smooth deployments and upgrades.
Your work will play a key role in advancing Cisco’s AI strategy and empowering organizations to efficiently leverage AI and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement integrations with AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure using services such as EC2, EKS, VPC, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda, IAM, and more.
- Build and manage integrations with cloud provider APIs to enable interoperability and automation across platforms.
- Develop Kubernetes (K8s) solutions with CRDs, operator patterns, and tools like Kubebuilder, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Design and develop scalable, highly available (HA) microservices to support distributed cloud environments.
- Build GRPC, REST APIs, and CLI tools for integration and management of cloud resources.
- Develop telemetry and monitoring solutions to track cloud performance and ensure adherence to SLAs.
- Manage IAM policies, user roles, and security best practices for cloud environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of cloud services from major providers, including AWS (EC2, EKS, VPC, S3, R53, CloudFormation, Lambda), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong debugging and programming skills in Golang and Python.
- Expertise in Kubernetes (K8s), including CRDs, operator patterns, Helm, and Docker.
- Strong knowledge of API development (GRPC, REST APIs) and CLI tools.
- Proven track record of designing and scaling microservices architectures with HA capabilities.
- Knowledge of IAM (Identity and Access Management) and secure user management in cloud environments.
- Bachelor’s degree+ and relevant 5+ years of Engineering work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working across multiple public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and understanding their differences.
- Familiarity with serverless computing concepts, including AWS Lambda and similar services.
