Connectivity & Network Engineer (WLAN Testing) | 2-6 years | Bangalore

Job Description

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the following technologies: Standards and protocols, application software and embedded software for wireless and satellite networks, fixed networks and enterprise networks; connected devices (IOT and device engineering), connected applications (5G/ edge, B2X apps); and Telco Cloud, Automation and Edge Compute platforms. This role also involves the integration of network systems and their operations, related to the above technologies.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Connectivity & Network Engineer with hands-on experience in WLAN testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating wireless network performance, ensuring seamless connectivity, and supporting the development and deployment of WiFi solutions across enterprise and consumer environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform WLAN testing including functional, performance, interoperability, and regression testing.
• Validate wireless protocols (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct RF testing, signal strength analysis, and throughput measurements.
• Analyze logs and debug connectivity issues across various platforms (Windows, Android, iOS).
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test plans and test cases.
• Use tools such as Wireshark, IxChariot, AirMagnet, or Ekahau for network analysis.
• Document test results, defects, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  
  

Required Skills:

• 2–6 years of experience in WLAN/WiFi testing or network validation.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
• Experience with wireless access points, routers, and network controllers.
• Familiarity with network testing tools and packet analysis.
• Good scripting knowledge (Python or Shell) for test automation is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as CWNA, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+.
• Exposure to IoT device testing and smart connectivity solutions.
• Experience with Linux-based systems and embedded networking.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications or training in networking and wireless technologies are a plus.
