Data Engineer III/ Data Analyst

Duties

We are seeking a Power BI Expert to join our Data Analytics Tooling initiatives. This role will focus on building scalable, client-impactful solutions using Power BI, while also staying at the forefront of Power BI AI (Copilot) & MSFT Fabric features. The ideal candidate is not only a hands-on developer but also a proactive problem solver who can work with us and internal asset builder teams in building data workflows and reports.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development & Delivery

Design and develop interactive, scalable dashboards and reports in Power BI for internal and client initiatives.

Build reusable frameworks/templates, and reporting frameworks aligned with firm-wide reporting standards.

Optimize performance and ensure governance, security, and compliance across large-scale datasets.

Copilot Enablement

Leverage Power BI Copilot features to automate insights, accelerate reporting workflows, and create engaging client narratives.

Stay up to date with new Power BI features (e.g., Prep your data for AI, semantic model optimization, writeback, Copilot prompting enhancements etc.), proactively testing them and mapping them to business problems.

Work with us and internal asset builder teams to embed emerging features into scalable workflows and solutions.

Good to have: Knowledge of the wider Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Real-Time Analytics, OneLake integration) to deliver enterprise-grade data solutions.

Act as a trusted advisor for practices adopting PBI and Copilot solutions.

Co-create new accelerators such as Copilot-powered templates, industry dashboards, and self-serve solutions.

Contribute to the evolution of BI strategy by staying ahead of Microsoft’s roadmap and proactively embedding emerging features.

Skills

Technical Expertise

Advanced knowledge of Power BI: DAX, Power Query, data modeling, row-level security, and performance optimization.

Experience with Power BI Copilot features (insight generation, narrative creation, report acceleration) and eagerness to test new capabilities.

Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Dataflows, Real-Time Analytics).

Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data wrangling and integration.

Familiarity with enterprise data architecture, governance, and compliance requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with Mathematics and Statistics or equivalent subject, Masters preferred
