Data Engineer – MS SQL Server (ETL & Support Operations)

Job Type: Full-time | Data Engineer | Rotational Support Coverage

Shift Timing: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM IST, 7 days a week (handled by 2 developers in rotation)

Seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong skills in MS SQL Server, ETL workflows, and SSIS packages, to provide critical monitoring and support for a production data environment. The role involves triaging incidents, ensuring job completion, and working closely with internal and external teams to maintain operational stability.

This is a 7-days-a-week support role, handled by two developers working in rotational shifts to ensure consistent coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitor scheduled ETL jobs (primarily SSIS) and ensure timely, successful execution.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in data pipelines, job failures, and SQL environment.
• Triage infrastructure, OS, and database-related issues in coordination with internal IT and 3rd party vendors.
• Follow and maintain Run Books and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) provided.
• Support data engineering tasks under the guidance of the team.
• Ensure system uptime, minimize downtime, and maintain detailed incident documentation.
• Participate in rotational scheduling to ensure 7-day coverage with another assigned developer.

Required Skills:

• 3–5+ years of experience in MS SQL Server administration and development.
• Strong proficiency with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and T-SQL.
• Proven experience supporting ETL workflows and handling production incidents.
• Familiarity with SQL Agent job monitoring and logging.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to follow structured operational processes and escalation protocols.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
