The Associate Data Analyst – Customer Master Data is responsible for monitoring and analyzing existing customer master data across multiple systems to ensure its accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards. Working closely with Data Governance, Business Process Owners, and IT teams, this new role plays a key part in maintaining high-quality customer data that supports operational efficiency and reliable business reporting.

The Associate Data Analyst – Customer Master Data is responsible for monitoring and analyzing existing customer master data across multiple systems to ensure its accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards. Working closely with Data Governance, Business Process Owners, and IT teams, this new role plays a key part in maintaining high-quality customer data that supports operational efficiency and reliable business reporting.
Responsabilities
- Monitor and review existing customer master data across systems to ensure alignment with defined data standards and business rules.
- Analyze customer data from multiple sources to identify and report on inconsistencies, duplicates, or outdated records.
- Support regular data audits and validation activities as part of ongoing data quality monitoring processes.
- Collaborate with Data Governance and Business Process teams to identify data discrepancies and support remediation actions.
- Contribute to the enforcement of customer data quality standards, policies, and stewardship practices.
- Assist in creating reports and dashboards to track key customer data quality metrics.
- Participate in root cause analysis and data quality investigations.
- Document customer data flows, issue types, and resolution approaches to support transparency and repeatability.
- Coordinate with IT and data teams to ensure customer data remains aligned across platforms (e.g., CRM, ERP, MDM).
- Develop a strong understanding of customer data models, data dependencies, and business usage.
- 3–5 years of total professional experience, ideally in business analysis, data management, operations, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when reviewing and interpreting data.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic SQL for data exploration, validation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with systems that manage customer data, such as CRM (e.g., Salesforce) or ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Ability to learn and apply data governance principles and contribute to data quality initiatives.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Organized, methodical, and proactive in identifying and resolving data issues.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar data platforms for data analysis or quality monitoring.
- Basic understanding of data governance or master data management concepts.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for reporting data quality insights.
- Broad understanding of regulatory or compliance requirements related to customer data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Exposure to master data management platforms (e.g., SAP MDG, Informatica MDM) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Carefully reviews and validates customer data for accuracy and compliance.
- Analytical Mindset: Able to work with data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Communication: Shares data insights clearly and collaborates effectively with business and technical teams.
- Ownership: Takes responsibility for ensuring customer data quality and supporting issue resolution.
- Learning Agility: Demonstrates curiosity and a willingness to grow expertise in data management.
- Team Collaboration: Works effectively with peers and stakeholders to support shared data goals.
