Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Collibra Data Steward to join our Data Governance team. The ideal candidate will hold an active Collibra Data Steward Certification and bring hands-on expertise in Collibra platform administration, metadata management, workflow development, system integrations, and quality assurance testing. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organisation's data assets are discoverable, trusted, and governed effectively.

Collibra Administration

• Administer and configure the Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud platform, including operating model setup, communities, domains, and asset types.

• Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure appropriate data governance enforcement.

• Monitor platform health, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate upgrades with Collibra support teams.

• Maintain configuration baselines and document platform changes for audit and compliance purposes.

Workflow Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Collibra workflows using BPMN and Collibra's built-in workflow engine to automate data governance processes.

• Build and customise workflows for data asset onboarding, issue management, certification, and approval lifecycles.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate governance requirements into automated workflow solutions.

• Perform end-to-end workflow testing, debugging, and iterative improvement based on user feedback.

Metadata Management

• Define and maintain metadata standards, taxonomies, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation within Collibra.

• Onboard new data assets and ensure metadata completeness, accuracy, and consistency across domains.

• Partner with data owners and subject matter experts to capture, validate, and maintain business and technical metadata.

• Support data classification and sensitivity tagging initiatives aligned to data policy frameworks.

Integration Support

• Support integration of Collibra with enterprise systems including data catalogues, ETL pipelines, BI platforms, and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Glue, Azure Purview).

• Assist in configuring and managing Collibra's API-based and connector-based integrations for automated metadata ingestion.

• Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to design scalable lineage and metadata harvesting solutions.

• Troubleshoot integration failures and work with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.

Features & Workflow Testing

• Lead functional and regression testing of new Collibra features, platform upgrades, and custom workflow releases.

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and UAT scripts for governance features and configuration changes.

• Document defects, track resolutions, and maintain testing artefacts in alignment with change management processes.

• Provide release readiness assessments and post-deployment validation for platform changes.

• 
  Active Collibra Data Steward Certification (mandatory).

• 3+ years of hands-on experience working within the Collibra platform in an administration or stewardship capacity.

• Proven experience developing and configuring Collibra workflows using BPMN.

• Solid understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

• Experience supporting or configuring platform integrations via REST APIs or Collibra connectors.

• Proficiency in writing test cases and conducting functional testing for enterprise software platforms.

• Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.

• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent tools for project tracking and documentation.

  Additional Certifications: Collibra Platform Engineer or Collibra Ranger Certification

• Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure.

• SQL Skills: Working knowledge of SQL for metadata validation and data profiling tasks.

• Lineage & Harvesting: Experience with data lineage tools or automated metadata harvesting frameworks.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, or other data privacy and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Agile Delivery: Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies within a data governance programme.

• Scripting: Scripting experience (Python or JavaScript) for workflow customisation or API automation.

• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with keen attention to data quality and governance detail.
