We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer (4+ years) who will lead backend development, design scalable microservices, optimize performance, mentor developers, and contribute to architecture improvement within the Sunbird-based iGOT platform.

Roles and Responsibility

• Lead the design and development of Java-based microservices for large-scale distributed systems.
• Architect and enhance existing Sunbird building blocks and backend services.
• Create Tech design and guide the team to implement it.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs, service orchestration, and data pipelines.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Work with Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Postgres and data indexing mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps for CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and automation.
• Participate in requirement analysis, technical design reviews, and sprint planning.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure high-quality code standards.
• Handle production escalations and trace end-to-end service-level issues.
  
  

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Java 11, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful services.
• Proven experience building and scaling microservices architecture.
• Strong experience with Elasticsearch, Cassandra / PostgreSQL, and NoSQL/SQL systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of Kafka or message applicaitons.
• Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD / Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, distributed systems, caching, and performance tuning.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
