Senior Network Engineer - RF

Job Summary:

Chevron ENGINE is seeking a Senior RF Network Engineer to design, consult, and deploy advanced networking technologies across our global enterprise and partner environments. This role demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of wireless and RF systems, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity best practices. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver robust, scalable, and secure network solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy wireless systems using multipoint, LTE, and/or WiMAX protocols.
• Plan and implement DAS/Wi-Fi access point layouts, including indoor/outdoor site surveys.
• Provide support for two-way radio systems (Analog, TETRA, DMR, P25).
• Engineer SCADA and industrial process control communication systems.
• Conduct RF propagation coverage studies using tools like EDX or Atoll.
• Create and analyze link budgets for network projects.
• Design and support microwave point-to-point systems and backhaul networks.
• Integrate satellite communication systems into enterprise infrastructure.
• Develop telecom solutions for modern industrial environments.
• Apply knowledge of 4G/5G Core technologies, provisioning, and IP architectures.
• Implement and troubleshoot RF IP transport systems.
• Execute network engineering tasks in industrial facilities under diverse environmental conditions.
• Produce and review communication/tower system documentation using Visio or AutoCAD.
• Gather and analyze stakeholder requirements to design and engineer network infrastructure.
• Create detailed technical design documents, implementation plans, and testing procedures.
• Provide tier-3 support for operational teams, working with vendors and service providers as needed.
• Support escalations from Level 2 Ops and ITOC for OT Process Control Networks.
• Collaborate with global teams for change implementations and escalated issue resolution.
• Maintain network infrastructure processes including administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
• Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) activities.
• Implement and manage solutions ensuring reliable and secure network operations.
• Drive automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Analyze network security requirements and develop cost-effective, scalable, and supportable solutions.
• Contribute to the network infrastructure lifecycle, including planning, implementation, and support.
• Adhere to change management protocols during technical changes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in RF network engineering, preferably in industrial or process control environments.
• Strong understanding of network and RF design principles, protocols, and standards.
• Hands-on experience with propagation tools (e.g., EDX, Atoll), AutoCAD/Visio, and RF system diagnostics.
• Deep knowledge of LTE/WiMAX, 4G/5G Core, microwave systems, SCADA, and process automation networks.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure network architecture.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create detailed technical documentation.
• Experience in managing vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as CCNP, CWNP, or equivalent.
• Experience with Azure networking and cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of modern plant telecom solutions and industrial wireless standards.
• Prior work in global projects, mergers, divestitures, or complex network transitions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹3,000,000.00 - ₹3,600,000.00 per year
