Ericsson is a global leader in telecommunications and technology, driving innovation in 5G, cloud-native development, and digital transformation. We are a R&D unit in Ericsson, building world class cloud-native based AI/ML big-data analytics software for telecom operators. We are looking for a dedicated, competent, dynamic and proactive individual having end to end cloud native product development experience in Python and ML.
What you will do
- Backend Development: Architect and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using Python, ensuring performant and efficient systems.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of highly motivated developers, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior members, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices, integrating them into the development process to enhance efficiency and quality.
What you will bring
- Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 8–12 years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Python.
- Technical Skills:
o Experience with Micro Servies architecture.
o Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming (Python).
o Experience with Data Scrubbing and ML Libraries – Pandas, NumPy.
o Kubernetes and cloud computing – AWS/Azure/GCP.
o Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker) and automated testing.
o Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
o Experience with Databases – MySQL, NoSQL.
o Exposure to security best practices in system design and implementation.
o Knowledge about end-to-end tests using Robot framework and wire-mock.
o Write unit tests first before implementing features to ensure the functionality is well-defined and testable.
o Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
o Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
o Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Contributing to system design and architecture.
