Software Developer - Datastage Architect

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Developer with strong expertise in modern enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, Datastage, PL/SQL, proficiency in Java for developing backend services. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications, integrating with messaging systems, and contributing to modernization initiatives using AI-driven approaches.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Data Engineering & ETL/ELT

• Design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines using IBM DataStage and other ETL/ELT tools.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across large-scale data processing workflows.
  
  

• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Manage and maintain relational and relational/non relational databases to support business and technical requirements.
  
  

• Develop robust backend services and data processing applications using Java.
• Implement efficient algorithms for data manipulation and integration.
  
  

• Data Engineering & ETL/ELT: Expertise in designing, building, and optimizing complex data pipelines, with hands-on experience in IBM DataStage.
• Database & SQL: Advanced SQL skills for complex data querying, analysis, and manipulation across various database systems.
• Programming: Strong proficiency in Java for developing backend services and data processing applications.
• Technical Architecture: Proven ability in technical solution architecture, designing scalable and resilient data systems.
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications.
• Agile Leadership: Demonstrated experience as an Agile Delivery Leader or Scrum Master, guiding teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Project Management: Expertise in technical project management, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
  
  

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with major cloud providers (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their native data services.
• Data Analysis: Strong ability to perform in-depth data analysis to support business decisions and make inform technical choices.
• CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and best practices.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Proven success in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, design, and business units.
