Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Backend Developer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Node.js, PHP (Laravel), and Firebase Database, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable backend solutions for web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Node.js, PHP (Laravel), MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Firebase Database.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend and mobile applications.
• Optimize queries and database performance across MySQL and PostgreSQL environments.
• Integrate third-party APIs, services, and tools to enhance application capabilities.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data security best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the overall technical strategy.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Maintain and scale Firebase Realtime Database and Firestore solutions for real-time applications.
• Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and suggest improvements for continuous enhancement.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–4 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Expertise in at least two backend languages/frameworks: Node.js and PHP (with Laravel).
• Strong hands-on experience with relational databases: MySQL & PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases: Firebase Realtime Database or Firestore.
• Understanding of RESTful API design, development, and documentation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Firebase) is a plus.
• Good knowledge of version control systems (Git preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker or containerized environments.
• Exposure to serverless functions and cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Vidyaranyapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
