Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Hybrid/Remote

Job Overview: SoftClouds LLC is looking for a Full-Time DBA with at least 8+ years of experience in Oracle Database. As a DBA, you will monitor production databases and perform proactive maintenance actions to ensure their security, availability, backups, patching and high performance, ensure that databases performance bottlenecks are identified and addressed. Take full ownership to drive regular maintenance activities like patching, health checks, change management etc. on database environments. Along with Oracle database, you will also require to setup, support, and maintain MySQL, AWS RDS, SQL Server and NoSQL databases.

Oracle Database:

• Perform routine administrative tasks such as backups, statistics gathering, index rebuilds, and troubleshooting.
• Write SQL and PL/SQL code for data manipulation and procedural logic.
• Capacity planning to ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Design and maintain data models for structured data management.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning and system-level improvements.
  
  

Additional Database Experience:

• Hands-on experience with at least one additional database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or a NoSQL database.
  
  

Cloud Experience (Good to Have):

• Exposure to database deployment or management in any cloud environment.
  
  

Required experience level – 8+ Years

This role is primarily focused on the MGSS project, where we occasionally perform database setup and upgrades in addition to regular support activities. Furthermore, we are currently in discussions with Mazda regarding a new opportunity that may require someone with strong database expertise.
