ISS STOXX is actively looking for a Software Engineer in test to join the Mumbai Team (Goregaon East).
Overview:
Reporting to the Test Manager, the Software Engineer in Test works with a small team of Test Engineers within the Quality Assurance Team on all stages of the software development lifecycle. He / She will need to work closely with cross functional teams including Product and Project Managers, Development and Business Stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be primarily responsible to meet Functional as well as Non-Functional testing requirements
- Contribute at each stage of STLC i.e. review requirements, test planning, creating testcases, setting up test environment, executing testcases & sharing results. Create test data wherever required along the testing cycle.
- Troubleshoot and debug errors to identify root cause and coordinate with respective teams for fixing and re-testing.
- Provide detailed, actionable feedback to development teams as well as other team involved to facilitate quick resolution of issues.
- Usage of Project Management Tools like Jira or equivalent throughout STLC.
- Regularly collaborate with members of global teams involved in the projects. Participate in scrum meetings with global teams and share regular updates.
- QA environment management and operation – deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting issues
- Provide technical support to other team members on projects.
- Participate in API testing using existing tools / frameworks / create mock services to test APIs.
- Flexible to participate in other forms of Functional as well as Non-functional testing like (but not limited to) Automation, Security & Performance Testing using different tool & technologies like Java/Selenium, Cypress, Jmeter, etc. Based on the project need, this may take up 20-30% or higher of the overall delivery.
- Flexible to learn new process / technologies as per the team need & expansion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 4-6 years of manual & automation testing experience required. Candidate with web application testing experience preferred.
- QA/software testing or development experience including hands on scripting (automation) or coding experience in any programming language. Java or an OOPL preferred.
- Experience in using a Defect Tracking system. JIRA experience preferable
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Preferably Java)
- Experience in interacting with RDBMS required. Experience with SQL in MS SQL Server environment a plus.
- Experience with Linux OS preferred
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience working as part of a global development organization is a plus.
- Candidate should possess Entrepreneurial mindset and should have “CAN DO” attitude
- Preferably based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai
