Team Overview
We are seeking a Specialist Business Analyst to join us in Bengaluru. In this team, you will support global execution goals, improve analysis throughput and delivery quality and act as a subject matter expert for both clients and internal stakeholders. This role is central to increasing project velocity, enabling scalable delivery, and improving client satisfaction through enhanced responsiveness and reduced escalations.
This team plays a critical role in driving successful client implementations and product adoption through expert-level business analysis, domain knowledge, and solution delivery capabilities.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis across complex client implementations of the Spire platform, including requirements gathering, functional design, and solution validation.
- Drive improvements in sprint throughput and implementation quality by delivering high-quality, detailed analysis and by collaborating closely with ISD and Professional Services teams.
- Engage directly with clients to understand workflows, translate needs into clear specifications, and ensure solution design aligns with both business and technical requirements.
- Produce and maintain artefacts such as functional specs, report mappings, interface definitions, and process documentation.
- Leverage SQL and data analysis techniques to support requirements validation, report mapping, data migration, and troubleshooting.
- Act as a subject matter expert in securities lending, trade lifecycle, settlements, and post-trade operations, helping inform design decisions and best practices.
- Contribute to the reduction of client escalations and delivery delays through proactive planning, early risk identification, and responsive issue resolution.
- Support the upskilling of junior team members by sharing expertise, reviewing deliverables, and embedding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with global peers to align on delivery approaches, cross-train teams, and extend business analysis coverage across time zones.
- Support efforts to increase project margins and time-to-market by contributing to more predictable, repeatable, and high-quality delivery processes.
- Participate in workshops, design sessions, and user acceptance testing with client stakeholders to validate end solutions and drive successful go-lives.
- Play a key role in building a strong, SME-led business analyst presence in Bengaluru, contributing to the scalability and maturity of the global delivery model.
Required Skills
- 5-10 years of experience in business analysis or related consulting roles, with a strong record of successful project execution in financial software delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise in gathering and analysing complex requirements in capital markets, preferably within securities finance or post-trade processing.
- Proficient in SQL, data mapping, and data validation techniques used to support reporting, reconciliation, and system integration efforts.
- Documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to create clear and actionable artefacts for both business and technical audiences.
- Strong experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models, with an understanding of sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery cycles.
- Track record of reducing delivery delays, improving throughput, and enhancing solution quality in previous roles.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience with client-facing roles and cross-regional collaboration.
- Familiarity with Books and Records systems, trade matching, settlements, or securities lending operations is a strong plus.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior analysts while embedding global standards and processes locally.
