Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior MS SQL Data Engineer who brings deep technical expertise in MS SQL Server, including strong capabilities in performance tuning, query optimization, and architectural design. You will play a crucial role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing high-performance, scalable database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage expert-level proficiency in MS SQL Server (2016 and above) to manage and optimize database environments
• Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
• Analyze and improve query execution plans, index strategies, and database performance
• Design well-structured, normalized databases ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and complex database issues
• Utilize monitoring and troubleshooting tools for proactive database health checks
• Support ETL processes and integrations, especially using SSIS or SSRS (preferred)
• Work with cloud SQL services such as Azure SQL or Amazon RDS (a plus)

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with MS SQL Server in a production environment
• Deep understanding of SQL Server internals, architecture, and optimization techniques
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, query tuning, and transaction handling
• Experience with performance tuning, profiling, and analyzing execution plans
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools and proactive performance management
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup, with strong communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and data integration workflows
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL or AWS RDS
