Sr. PHP Web Developer

Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior PHP Web Developer to lead the development of a custom eCommerce platform built entirely on Laravel. In this role, you will architect and develop backend services, APIs, and business logic for a high-performance, scalable online shopping experience — without relying on off-the-shelf solutions like Shopify or Magento.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves clean code, scalable architecture, and building eCommerce features from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a custom Laravel-based eCommerce platform.
• Build robust backend features such as product catalogs, user accounts, carts, checkouts, order processing, and admin dashboards.
• Implement secure payment integrations (e.g., PayU, PayPal, etc.).
• Build and maintain APIs for frontend and third-party integrations.
• Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product managers.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices within the team.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of PHP development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel (Laravel 8+ preferred).
• Proven experience building custom eCommerce features (shopping carts, checkout flows, inventory, promotions, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and query optimization.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party payment gateways.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Vue.js experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of secure coding and data protection in eCommerce systems.
• Proficient with Git and modern development workflows.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹62,062.92 per month
