The Opportunity:

The Cloud Platform team at VISA is looking for a talented full stack engineer to join the team. Expect to be working day in and day out on solving challenging problems on distributed scheduling, orchestration, multi threading and building responsive user interfaces. We would expect you to be a quick learner with a go-getter attitude. In return you would get to work with a team that holds intellectual property on distributed computing algorithms and work on complex cloud native microservices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java and Angular.
  
  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, innovate and deliver new features.
  
  

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by delivering zero-defect, high-quality code with a proactive approach
  
  

• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs to devise effective solutions.
  
  

• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and security.
  
  

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team uses the best practices.
  
  

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Basic Qualifications

-3+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2

years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,

MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 5+ years of relevant work

experience.



Preferred Qualifications

-3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2 or more years

of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

-Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Java and Angular/ReactJS frameworks.

-Hands on experience working on complex multi-threading scenarios,

building highly scalable distributed transaction processing systems & able to

independently take design and architecture forward.

-In-depth understanding of web development technologies including HTML,

CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

-Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud services.

-Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM

frameworks.

-Familiarity with distributed caching, and Event-driven architecture

-Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

-Strong debugging skills

-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-Challenge the Status Quo: Comfort in pushing the boundaries, ‘hacking’ beyond

traditional solutions

-Experience with additional front-end frameworks/libraries

-Familiarity with other languages like NodeJS or Golang is a plus

-Experience with complex distributed systems.

-Experience with reactive programming paradigm

-Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

-Experience handling applications with complex asynchronous workflows

-Demonstrated experience working on massively multi-threaded systems

-Ability to learn new tech stack and complex concepts with ease
