Thales India Engineering Competency Center in Bangalore is seeking a Technical Lead–MCO role.
In this role, you will manage Test Bench maintenance and sustenance activities, which includes conducting scheduled maintenance procedure, inspecting, and troubleshooting test bench equipment.
These test benches primarily support various Thales defense applications and its products.

Essential skills:
- Hardware systems knowledge such as NI Hardware including PXI systems, Industrial PC (PICMG SBC ) and VME systems.
- 5 +yrs Experience in handling various interface form factors such as PCI, PCIE, PCIe, CPCI, PXI, PXIe, VME etc.
- Experience in Test Bench design/development or maintenance using COTS test & measurement equipment, custom designed interface test adapters, PCBAs
- Experience of testing avionics communication interfaces/buses such as MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC 429 , Serial RS 485 / 422, CAN etc is desirable.
- Experience on interface cards such as Discrete IO, Analog, serial (RS232/422/482), synchro etc on various form factors listed above.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in testing and knowledge of test equipment for measurement and control.
- Hand on experience in handing various measuring tools such as Digital Oscilloscope, Function / wave generators up to 18GHz, Spectrum Analyzers, RF power meters etc.
- Experience in analyzing / understanding electrical schematics, Cable Hardness drawings and block diagrams.
- As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for undertaking periodic maintenance procedure and ensure the test system / bench are reliable.
- Identify faults, efficiency and safety issues.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, provide first line diagnostic and arrange repairs or replacements.
- Execute functional tests and validate the results against established standards
- Perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Should work closely with multi discipline teams and organize to fix the issues.
- Preparation of the associated report and log maintenance to keep track of tasks
- Collaborative work applying quality standards and internal processes
- Should be able to estimate and monitor costs of maintenance.
