Overview
Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking a skilled web developer with a passion for creating seamless digital experiences. This position involves executing critical delivery tasks across multiple projects, ensuring the success of client deliveries, and maintaining consumer-grade standards in all outputs. Preferred candidates should have prior experience in web development or related fields, along with a strong interest in technology, user experience, and problem-solving.
The ideal candidate will excel in task-based work, collaborating within project teams using tools such as Jira boards, and engaging effectively with colleagues across various disciplines, including backend teams, project management, and client-facing roles. They should demonstrate the ability to interpret instructions accurately, manage time efficiently, and consistently deliver high-quality results on schedule while minimizing the need for revisions. Key attributes for this role include attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and confidence in managing multiple projects within a dynamic work environment.
How You'll Make An Impact
Responsibilities:
- JIRA Expertise: Proficient in analysing and interpreting JIRA tickets to deliver effective solutions, ensuring amendments are executed with precision, reliability, and adherence to project requirements.
- Content Management: Skilled in utilizing Content Management Systems (CMS) to efficiently add, update, and manage web page content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational standards.
- Version Control: Extensive experience in leveraging GitHub for robust version control, including repository management, change tracking, team collaboration through pull requests and code reviews, resolving merge conflicts, and maintaining a well-structured and organized codebase to support seamless project development and deployment.
- Website Configurations: Comprehensive understanding of website configurations, including but not limited to:
- Page planning and website architecture
- Content hierarchy and organization
- Document and asset uploads
- Quality Assurance: Adept at conducting thorough testing and validation of updates and changes to ensure optimal functionality and performance. Proactively identify, document, and report bugs or issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective resolutions.
- Accountability and Ownership: Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership by taking full accountability for tasks and projects, ensuring timely and precise delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in web solutions, offering innovative suggestions to enhance functionality, optimize performance, and elevate the overall user experience.
- Teamwork & Interpersonal Skills: Effectively managing teams while fostering a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and strong communication skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Develops and implements strategic communication plans. Thinks ahead and plans for future needs.
- Problem-Solving: Identifies and resolves issues efficiently. Uses critical thinking to find effective solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Manages relationships with key stakeholders. Ensures effective communication and collaboration.
- Project Management: Oversees multiple projects simultaneously. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Required Degree: Bachelor of Computer Application, Bachelor of Computer Engineering.
- Preferred Degree: BCA , BE
- Certificate(s)/Special Training: Web/Software Development
- Strong Communication: Comfortable reporting progress to colleagues across various disciplines.
- Time Management: Capable of independently completing tasks within prescribed deadlines.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to comprehend complex content structures and apply them effectively.
- Quality Focus: Adherence to quality assurance standards and expectations.
- Task Execution: Proficient in interpreting instructions from Jira tickets and understanding project requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and flagging issues to project team members as they arise.
