Industry: [ IT Services, SaaS, E-commerce]Job DescriptionWe are actively looking for a MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) / Senior SQL Developer to join our team on an immediate basis. This role requires deep expertise in MySQL, combining both database development and administration skills. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing production databases, optimizing performance, writing advanced queries, and ensuring data security and availability.Key Responsibilities✅ SQL Development

• Design and optimize complex MySQL queries, joins, subqueries, and stored procedures
• Develop and maintain database schemas, indexes, and relationships
• Apply normalization techniques for efficient and scalable database design
• Support application developers with database logic, including triggers, functions, and views
• Work closely with backend/server-side teams for seamless data integration

Database Administration (DBA)

• Install, configure, and manage MySQL server instances on Linux/Windows
• Perform query tuning, monitor slow query logs, and analyze EXPLAIN plans
• Implement robust backup and recovery strategies using tools
• Set up and manage MySQL replication, high availability, and failover strategies
• Manage user roles, permissions, and enforce database-level security policies
• Monitor system health and automate routine DBA tasks using scripting
• Maintain documentation of schemas, access controls, and incident resolution processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a MySQL DBA and/or Senior SQL Developer
• Strong expertise in MySQL, including advanced query optimization
• In-depth knowledge of RDBMS principles, normalization, and data modelling
• Experience with backup, replication, and high availability setups
• Familiarity with MySQL monitoring tools
• Understanding of server-side integration ( Node.js)
• Ability to work independently and manage mission-critical databases
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based MySQL solutions
• Exposure to ETL processes, BI tools, or data warehousing
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Terraform, or Docker
