  • Responsibilities:
• Design and develop a custom Bootloader for firmware updates over CAN, LIN.
• Implement Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) and Secure Boot features.
• Develop Flash memory handling mechanisms, including sector-based update management.
• Implement application switching logic between Bootloader and main firmware.
• Work with hardware teams to integrate Bootloader with target MCU architecture.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (if applicable) and cybersecurity best practices.
• Implement CAN/LIN-based Bootloader flashing and data transfer protocols.
• Optimize Bootloader startup time, memory footprint, and error recovery mechanisms.
• Perform testing on target ECUs and development boards.
• Provide documentation covering Bootloader configuration, update procedures, and recovery mechanisms.
• Microcontrollers - S32K1, MC9S12ZVM (NXP), TLE987x (Infineon)
• Cyber security
  • • Validation and Reporting:
• Bootloader must successfully flash and boot firmware on target hardware.
• No data corruption or flash errors during update cycles.
• Secure Boot implementation should pass authentication and integrity verification tests.
• Bootloader should handle power failures and update failures gracefully (rollback mechanism).
