  • Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute unit test cases for software modules in C, C++, and Model-Based Development (MBD) environments.
• Perform unit testing on target controllers using Tessy.
• Ensure that all software functions, interfaces, and algorithms meet functional and safety requirements.
• ASPICE compliance.
• Work in alignment with ISO 26262 functional safety guidelines and MISRA-C coding standards for safety-critical software validation.
• Automate unit testing procedures where feasible to improve efficiency.
• Document test results, coverage reports, and defect tracking data.
• Support software developers in debugging and refining software code based on unit test feedback.
• Analyze software requirements and design test cases to cover all functional paths.
• Develop mocking and stubbing strategies for dependent software modules.
• Perform structural code coverage analysis (MC/DC, branch, function coverage).
• Execute unit tests using model-in-loop (MIL), software-in-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-loop (HIL) environments.
• Generate test reports and coverage analysis metrics for each module.
• Participate in peer reviews for test plans, test cases, and results.
• Conduct regression testing after software updates.

• Unit test coverage should meet project-specific coverage thresholds (e.g., 90% branch coverage).
• No critical defects should be left unresolved before integration.
• Tests should be executed on target hardware, or equivalent simulation environments should be approved.
• Compliance with functional safety (ISO 26262), coding guidelines (MISRA-C), and cybersecurity best practices.
