Cloud Pak team on Z is responsible for enabling and maintaining Data , Integration , AIOPS and Automation cloudPaks for the s390x Linux on Z offering .

Team focuses on enabling these solutions in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, support, product managers, and engineering, to address complex technical problems from our clients, including implementations, deployments, architecture, migrations, re-architecting product for platform differentiation , performance, and scalability.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and implementation of microservices and containerized applications. Identify platform differentiation for Z and propose the implementation for the same.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of product .

Develop strategies and ideas to implement continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automation .

Conduct code reviews and mentor development teams to uphold code quality and architectural standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to application performance, deployment, and scalability. Identify risk and mitigation plan and lead the mitigation implementation

Document architectural decisions, system designs, and operational processes for knowledge sharing

Stay updated with emerging industry trends and apply them to improve system architecture and development practices.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Understanding of enterprise microservices architectures and implementations

Excellent troubleshooting, follow-through, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Experience in installing and deploying solutions to Kubernetes (OpenShift preferred)

Can manage multiple customer accounts and projects simultaneously

Knowledge of hybrid-cloud software implementations, SaaS / IaaS / PaaS and cloud applications

Ability to communicate complex solutions both verbally and in writing

Ability to translate requirements and design to implementation and guide the team to delivery

Hands on experience in Linux packages porting, Container technologies, Kubernetes, Dockers, Virtualization Management, REST API, Catalog Services, Micro Services,DevOps CICD Jenkins , Travis skills

Experience with python/java/c programming

Knowledge of Observability Solutions and tools

Cloud native development and deployment. A minimum of three years of experience in designing software solutions with cloud-native computing technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, containers, and Red Hat OpenShift.

Ability to contribute and guide team in the development cycle , which includes Development, unit tests , CICD , functional and performance tests and all applicable stages.

Hands-on with technology and being able create demo assets and showcase to customers, conduct PoCs, run enablement sessions

Ability to interlock, understand and engage with various senior executives of key BUs within IBM to create value prop, content and assets to drive skills, capabilities and expertise for client engagements

At least 5 years of experience in deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise microservices solutions.

Experience and/or knowledge of resolving Performance/Technical issues during implementations, migrations, and system assessments.

Hands-on deployment experience with cloud solutions is a plus.
