About The Role

We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PHP development, a solid understanding of modern frameworks, database management, and web technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Core PHP and PHP frameworks.
• Build and optimize backend logic, APIs, and database structures.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following OOP and MVC architecture.
• Integrate internal and third-party APIs and resolve technical issues.
• Optimize database queries and improve overall application performance.
• Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate UI/UX components with backend logic.
• Manage code versions using Git and follow collaborative development practices.
• Implement and uphold security best practices (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF protection, etc.).
• Perform debugging, testing, and deployment of new features.
• Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements to development workflows.
• Work closely with the DevOps/Cloud team for deployments (AWS/Azure, if applicable).
  
  

• Strong knowledge of PHP 7/8 and Core PHP
• Experience with at least one framework : Laravel / Yii2 / CodeIgniter / Symfony / Zend
• Strong expertise in MySQL/SQL, database design, and query optimization
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts and MVC architecture
• Experience with RESTful API development & integration
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• (Optional but preferred) Experience with modern JS frameworks : React / Vue / Angular
• Experience using debugging tools and performance monitoring
• Understanding of caching mechanisms : Redis, Memcached, OPcache
• Knowledge of unit testing tools like PHPUnit
• Awareness of security best practices in web applications
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is an added advantage
