WM_Technology
Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.
Technology Delivery Management-WMT Management
The Technology Delivery Management team is responsible for program management, project management and leading execution for various initiatives within MSWM. The team leads critical management efforts related to the complete lifecycle of the programs and projects.
Software Engineering
This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What You’ll Do In The Role
- Serve as Scrum Master leading Agile teams and delivering initiatives and capabilities for High Net Worth Lending.
- Promote Agile culture, values, behaviors, and principles across business, development, and testing organizations.
- Create a collaborative team environment; partner with Agile Coach to provide constructive feedback for continuous agile improvements.
- Develop team norms and balance workload for onshore and offshore developers, testers and business analysts.
- Plan and conduct Agile meetings/ceremonies – Sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand up, test plan and test cases reviews, sprint demos, retrospectives, etc.
- Review and manage backlog and in-progress items to ensure the latest work status is captured and updated as appropriate.
- Maintain team metrics and report project statuses (e.g., velocity/burn down charts, financial status, issues/risks, etc.) on a regular basis to Product Owner, and to senior stakeholders.
- Takes ownership to drive through resolutions of issues or blockers, coordinate directly with other development/product teams on inter-dependencies or through Scrum-of-Scrum’s ceremony.
- Takes a lead role in overall release management, which includes end-to-end regression test coordination, ensuring SDLC artifact adherence, runbook coordination, and deployment support.
- Coordinate with partner technology teams on deployment preparations and execution (e.g., deployment script management, support team review and documentation, host deployment verification calls, and lead deployment issue resolutions).
- Oversee Production issues; partner with Product Owner on impact assessment and prioritization of production remediations.
- At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
- Experience in a large complex banking organization or major consulting firm acting in a Scrum Master and project management capacity.
- Well versed in Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Technical background in integration, development, testing, and/or infrastructure.
- Ability to understand and implement front-to-back solutions.
- Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications.
- Ability to develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents, including identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
- Experience in estimating resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Ability to proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong familiarity with Agile project management software/tools (e.g., JIRA, etc.).
- Proficient with JIRA MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
