About the internship:

IntelGrader is an AI-powered learning intelligence platform transforming education by grading handwritten answer sheets, identifying concept-level mastery, and pinpointing student struggles with precision. Already serving schools and coaching centres across India, IntelGrader helps educators save significant grading time while providing deeper academic insights to parents and students. Founded by professionals from IIT Delhi, IIM Calcutta, XLRI Jamshedpur, and SRCC with prior experience at BCG, Tata Strategic Management Group, and Procter & Gamble, the company is focused on scaling frontier AI, multimodal systems, and production-grade educational technology.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Build and optimize frontier AI systems for consistent, scalable, and high-quality production outputs.
2. Fine-tune LLM workflows through prompt engineering, structured outputs, and evaluation pipelines.
3. Develop multimodal AI solutions involving handwriting OCR, vision-language models, and spatial correction systems.
4. Optimize latency, concurrency, token efficiency, batching, caching, and async pipelines for large-scale educational workloads.
5. Build full-stack features using TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js, React, AWS, and GitHub.
6. Leverage AI-native development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to accelerate product delivery.
7. Design prompts capable of handling large-scale edge cases reliably.
8. Evaluate AI outputs systematically for quality, speed, and consistency.
9. Architect AI pipelines that are efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.
10. Ship production-ready features rapidly for real-world users.
11. Collaborate directly with founders on product decisions, architecture, and implementation.

Stipend:

INR₹ 7,000 - 10,000 /month

Skills required:

Other Requirements:

1. 1. Candidates pursuing a degree in computer science engineering, data science, or a related field are preferred.
2. 2. Hands-on experience with machine learning, deep learning, or AI projects beyond academic exercises is required.
3. 3. Demonstrated experience in building practical projects through side projects, hackathons, open-source, freelance work, or internships is highly valued.
4. 4. Fluency in Node.js and TypeScript is essential.
5. 5. Understanding of data structures and foundational system design is necessary.
6. 6. Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Codex is expected.
7. 7. A systems-thinking mindset with strong architectural reasoning is important.
8. 8. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment is critical.
