About the Role

This is a hybrid engineering and client-facing role for someone who thrives at the intersection of building and deploying. As an AI Engineer, you'll sit between our platform and client teams — going deep on real customer problems in banking, lending, and insurance, then building, configuring, and shipping AI-powered solutions that solve them. You'll be the technical bridge that translates a client's messy, real-world financial workflow into something our platform handles reliably at scale.

You won't just write code in isolation. You'll be in the room (or on the call) with clients, understanding their underwriting, compliance, and operations challenges, and owning the solution end-to-end.

What You'll Do

Work directly with client teams to understand complex financial workflows — credit assessment, loan origination, claims processing, compliance — and translate them into technical requirements.
Design, build, and deploy AI/ML-powered solutions on top of the GLIB platform, from document extraction pipelines to credit decisioning logic.
Partner with our core platform and data science teams to extend product capabilities based on real client needs, feeding field insights back into the roadmap.
Own end-to-end delivery: prototyping, integration with client systems (ERP, LOS, CRM), testing, and production rollout.
Debug and resolve issues across the stack, from model outputs to API integrations, often under real deployment pressure.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, driving adoption and demonstrating measurable impact.

What We're Looking For

1-3 years of experience in software engineering, ML engineering, or a similar hands-on technical role.
Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
Practical experience with machine learning, NLP, LLMs, or document/data extraction — you understand how to take models from notebook to production.
Comfort working with APIs, integrations, and messy real-world data.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to reason through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
Strong communication skills — you can explain technical trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical business stakeholders.
A bias toward ownership and shipping; you're energized by seeing your work create direct client impact.

Nice to Have

Domain exposure to BFSI, fintech, lending, or financial documents (bank statements, financial statements, invoices).
Experience in a client-facing, consulting, or solutions-engineering capacity.
Familiarity with cloud deployment, containerization, and building scalable data pipelines.
