About the job:

Ambill is an IIT Bombay-founded, profitable SaaS automating the chaotic world of AR/AP for the finance and accounts teams. We don't have a 'coding' problem; we have a 'systems' problem. We are looking for an engineer who treats AI (Codex, Cursor, LLMs, Agents) like a superpower to ship high-fidelity financial systems at 10x speed.

We are building AI Agents that don't just 'read' invoices but 'understand' financial context. We are replacing slow, error-prone manual accounting departments with autonomous code. This requires a high-reliability architecture where 'hallucinations' are not an option.

Why this isn't a typical 'MERN' job:

1. We vibecode: If you take pride in manually writing boilerplate, don't apply. We use AI to generate 80% of the code and our brains to audit the critical 20%.
2. Fintech accuracy: We automate reconciliation. A 0.01% error rate is a catastrophe. You must be obsessed with edge cases and data integrity.
3. High agency: You'll work directly with an IITB CTO. No middle managers. You own the feature from the architectural diagram to production.

What will you do?

1. Design and deploy autonomous AI agents for complex bank reconciliation.
2. Optimize Postgres queries to handle high-frequency financial data.
3. Build 'Last-Mile' UI components in React that make complex automation feel simple.
4. Debug and refine LLM-driven workflows to ensure 100% deterministic outcomes.

4. Fast learner: Ability to master a new library or framework in a single weekend.

5. Fintech Mindset: You understand that "The AI wrote it" is never an excuse for a production bug.
