Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for automotive systems, including in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), cluster displays, and Android Automotive OS (AAOS) platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kotlin-based Android apps with vehicle hardware, sensors, and CAN-based communication systems.
- Build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance UI components using Jetpack Compose and other Jetpack libraries.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement responsive and dynamic interfaces tailored for in-vehicle usage.
- Optimize application performance for embedded environments and low-latency use cases.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning for production-ready apps.
- Ensure compliance with automotive-grade standards for safety, performance, and reliability.
- 39 years of hands-on experience in Android application development
- Strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android SDK
- Experience working with Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Android Auto, or AOSP for automotive systems
- Good understanding of MVVM architecture, Coroutines, LiveData, Room, and other modern Android components
- Familiarity with vehicle hardware integration, CAN protocol, vehicle APIs, or infotainment systems
- Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Espresso, Mockito) and performance optimization
- Version control with Git, collaboration via tools like Jira or Confluence
- Experience with embedded systems, IVI, or HMI development
- Knowledge of Linux-based systems, system apps, or AOSP customization
- Exposure to automotive industry standards like ISO 26262, MISRA, or AUTOSAR
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools for embedded Android projects
