Role:

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer with strong experience in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and hands-on expertise in database migration from Realm Sync to Power Sync. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently, handling complex migrations, and building modern, scalable Android applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Implement modern UI components using Jetpack Compose following best practices
• Lead and execute data migration from Realm Sync to PowerSync, ensuring data integrity and performance
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and synchronization mechanisms
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues across multiple Android versions
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Android application development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for UI development
• Practical experience in Realm Sync to PowerSync migration
• Strong understanding of mobile data synchronization and offline-first architectures
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations
• Solid understanding of Android architecture components (MVVM, ViewModel, LiveData/State)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
