Job Description

As an App and Web Developer within our Technology and Digital Strategy department at TOPOP, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of web applications and mobile apps to support political campaigns and outreach. Collaborating closely with the digital strategy team, you will ensure that development projects are aligned with campaign goals, contributing to the success of political campaigns and candidates by creating user-friendly and engaging online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly, secure, and responsive web applications and mobile apps for political campaigns.
• Collaborate with the digital strategy team to align development projects with campaign goals and provide technical expertise to support digital strategy initiatives.
• Create intuitive user interfaces that enhance the user experience, gathering feedback and iterating on designs to optimize usability.
• Implement data integration solutions to connect apps and websites with campaign databases, ensuring data security and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Conduct testing and debugging of applications to ensure reliability and functionality, performing quality assurance to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Regularly update and maintain applications to address issues and incorporate new features, staying current with industry trends and technology updates to improve app performance.
• Ensure applications comply with relevant privacy and security regulations, upholding ethical and legal standards in all development activities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• Years of experience in app and web development, with a focus on user-friendly and secure applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to app and web development.
• UX design skills and the ability to create visually appealing and functional interfaces.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, along with collaboration and communication skills to work closely with the digital strategy team.
• Collaborative mindset to work with diverse campaign teams and stakeholders.
• Commitment to ethical coding practices and data security.
