Who You’ll Work With
This role is based in the Enterprise Technology Center of Excellence (ET CoE), part of Bain’s broader “Data & Technology” umbrella within the BCN. The Enterprise Technology CoE provides specialized support on Tech Strategy, Transformation, and Roadmap projects for Bain clients across industries. The ET CoE team acts as the analytical and delivery arm of Bain’s ET Practice.

What You’ll Do
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data analysis, data engineering, and solution architecture, with a solid understanding of how to design and implement scalable data systems that enable insights and decision-makingThis role blends technical understanding with strategic thinking, supporting consulting teams and internal stakeholders in building scalable, efficient, and future-ready technology ecosystems.Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data models to support analytics and knowledge productsDevelop scalable, efficient, and reusable data architectures using modern tools and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake)Evaluate & recommend data storage, integration, and processing solutions aligned with firm-wide architecture standardsConduct exploratory data analysis and create meaningful dashboards, and insights to support strategic decisionsPartner with consulting teams to translate business questions into data-driven analyses and prototypesEnsure data quality, consistency, and reliability across multiple sourcesCollaborate with cross-functional teams—consultants, knowledge specialists, and technology teams—to deliver impactful data-driven products.Support internal capability building by documenting learnings, reusable assets, and frameworksWork under the guidance of a Team Manager / Sr. Team Manager, playing a key role in driving the team’s overall answer and final materials, client communication, work planning, and team managementLead client/ case team calls and effectively communicate data, knowledge, insights and actionable next steps to the case team; relay implications to his/her own internal teamKeep abreast of new and current statistical, database and data warehousing tools & techniquesRecognize team’s development needs and consistently provide responsible feedback in all interactions via conducting performance discussions, writing reviews for appraisal etc.Assist on other team management activities (e.g. recruiting, training, etc.)
- Candidates should be graduates / post-graduates with strong academic record
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies – 2-5 years of relevant experience in a professional services context
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies – 0-3 years of relevant experience in a professional services context
- Ideal candidates have a strong consulting mindset and have contributed to client-facing engagements in areas such as Enterprise Architecture, technology modernization, Tech strategy, Process excellence and automation, Tech cost optimization, Application portfolio rationalization etc.
- 3–4 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data architecture roles
- Strong proficiency in SQL, and working knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation
- Experience with ETL tools, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Good understanding of data architecture principles (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, pipelines)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and data visualization best practices.
- You’ll help design and deploy scalable technology solutions, leverage advanced LLMs like ChatGPT, and implement autonomous agents to drive measurable business value
