Job Description: ETL Data Architect

Location: Trivandrum, Kochi & Chennai

Experience Range: 9 - 12 Years

We are looking for a ETL Data Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, database optimization, and integration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL development, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex database solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, front-end developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance database systems.

Must-Have Skills

• Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL): 9+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, including database design, development, and optimization.
• SQL Development: Strong background in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
• Database Design & Optimization: Proficient in designing, creating, and optimizing database schemas, tables, and indexes.
• Query Optimization: Expertise in optimizing SQL queries for performance improvement and scalability.
• Stored Procedures & Triggers: Extensive experience in creating, modifying, and optimizing stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Data Analysis & Troubleshooting: Experience in troubleshooting data issues, performing data analysis, and ensuring data integrity.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate with front-end developers, business stakeholders, and other teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.
• Database System Improvements: Strong understanding of identifying and proposing improvements in existing database systems to enhance performance and scalability.
• Performance Profiling: Skilled in SQL profiling to analyze and optimize database performance.
• Technical Documentation: Ability to prepare mapping documents for existing stored procedures and database schemas.
  
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Data Integration: Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs and external systems with SQL-based solutions.
• Healthcare Domain Expertise: Experience working with healthcare data, understanding industry-specific standards, and integration requirements.
• SQL Server Tools: Proficient in using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Profiler, Query Analyzer, and Business Intelligence tools.
• Code Reviews & Best Practices: Experience performing peer reviews and ensuring the use of best practices in SQL development and system design.
• System Upgrades & Modifications: Ability to implement system changes, upgrades, and modifications in response to business needs.
• Collaboration in Technical Discussions: Experience participating in design reviews, architecture discussions, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Database Design & Development: Design and develop database structures, including tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Query Optimization: Analyze and optimize complex queries and stored procedures for better performance and scalability.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with technical solutions.
• Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks by optimizing database queries and schema.
• Integration: Work on integrating third-party APIs and systems with the database solution.
• Documentation: Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation for database schemas, stored procedures, and system modifications.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted data flow in business applications.
• System Maintenance: Monitor, upgrade, and maintain database systems according to business requirements and industry standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers and other technical teams to complete database modules and deliver solutions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Experience: 9-12 years of relevant experience in SQL development, database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Certifications: Any Microsoft SQL Server certifications (MCSE, MCSA) are a plus.
