Overview

We are now looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our Procurement Development team. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing procurement data management, optimizing supplier onboarding processes, and supporting system transformation initiatives. You will contribute to major global projects with a focus on data quality, automation, and alignment with KONE’s global procurement model.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure vendor master data completeness, data quality monitoring, design a clean-up model and integrate into the supplier creation process.
Contribute to ongoing data enrichment initiatives aligned with global governance frameworks, including payment terms, material groups, and supplier classifications.
Assist in aligning data structures and formats with standard SAP (ECC and later potentially S/4HANA) setup.
Support the Procurement Development team with data documentation and process improvement initiatives.
Perform data extraction and reporting from SAP and other platforms to support internal business needs.
Where possible and needed, use modern programming language such as Python and to support procurement analytics and master data validation.
Develop and prototype analytics / visualizations in Power BI to make it easy for end-users to understand.

Expectations for the role:

Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field of study.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
Ability and willingness to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
Self-motivated, detail-focused, and committed to driving global data transformation efforts.
Strong technical proficiency in Python, Power BI, SQL and machine learning concepts is more than an asset.
