Role Summary

As a Junior Manual QA Engineer, you will test Sotrue’s web application, admin portal, mobile app, and TV app. You will verify new features, perform regression testing, identify bugs, and help maintain product quality across the entire ecosystem.

You’ll work closely with product managers and developers to ensure smooth releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Test new features across Web, Mobile, TV, and Admin platforms
• Execute test cases and report bugs clearly
• Perform regression testing before each release
• Validate UI layouts, navigation flows, and content rendering
• Test video playback flows, buffering, seek, auto-play, and clip interactions
• Verify API responses using Postman (basic level)
• Document test results and work with developers for bug resolutions
• Re-test resolved issues and verify fixes
• Maintain test checklists and update them regularly
• Provide feedback on usability and user experience

Must-Have Skills

• Basic understanding of manual testing processes
• Ability to create and follow test cases
• Experience testing mobile or web applications

• Basic understanding of:

  • UI testing
  • Functional testing
  • Regression testing

• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Jira, Trello, GitHub Issues)

• Basic knowledge of using Postman (GET/POST testing)

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication and documentation skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Basic Android/iOS testing experience
• Exposure to OTT apps or video players
• Understanding of API testing
• Experience testing on real mobile devices
• Knowledge of browser debugging tools
• Familiarity with testing on Android TV/Fire TV (good to have)
