Associate Network Engineer

About the job:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.
2. Support installation and maintenance of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
3. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
4. Diagnose, resolve, and document network issues in a timely manner.
5. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
6. Collaborate with IT and other teams to support infrastructure upgrades and projects.
7. Perform regular backups, patches, and firmware updates.
8. Prepare network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.

Skills required:

Computer Networking, Linux, CCNA and Computer Networks

Other Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2. 1+ years of proven experience as a network engineer or network administrator.

3. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP).

4. Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Aruba or similar network devices.

5. Familiarity with firewall management and VPN technologies.

6. Basic understanding of network monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).

7. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

8. Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred (good to have):

1. CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification.

2. Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and VoIP solutions.

3. Experience in ITIL-based service management.
