Overview
Job Overview
Assists with the design/development of software solutions requiring general domain knowledge and limited business expertise.
Troubleshoots code issues and continuously evolves IQVIA's platforms to meet user requirements/needs.
Must have skillset –
Good to have skillset -
- 3 years of hands-on Spark, Scala, Python programming and DBT, Snowflake Development experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of SQL (Hive, Postgres)
- Candidates must have strong verbal, written and communication skills
Good to have skillset -
- Experience with Clinical data
- Agile and Lean SDLC process
- Experience in ETL
- Experience with UNIX/Linux shell script development
- Experience in BI tools (Tableau or Spotfire or OBIEE)
- Experience with Java and batch scripts
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance code as needed.
- Create rules for data mapping, transformation, and enrichment to meet requirements.
- Perform informal testing of rules and unit tests.
- Recommend and execute improvements.
- Participate in peer reviews of deliverables such as code, designs, and test plans.
- Create technical/functional documentation as needed.
- Assist with the design and development of software solutions requiring general domain knowledge and limited business experience.
- Work at all layers of the application stack, including front-end user interface and backend development.
- Troubleshoot code issues and evolve platforms to meet user requirements and needs.
- Participate in the review of functional specifications and other validation deliverables as assigned.
- Develop an introductory understanding of industry and quality standards.
- Support small development projects based on specific instructions and with limited discretion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science of Engineering or equivalent in experience Req
- Understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL queries.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of Spark, Scala, Python programming and DBT, Snowflake development experience.
