Overview
The Associate Technical Lead – KTA will play a critical role in shaping the success of our core application portfolio by becoming a subject matter expert in content management, with a specialized focus on Kofax Total Agility (KTA). This individual will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing KTA-based solutions to meet evolving business needs, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency. With a strong emphasis on intelligent automation, the role will aim to reduce manual errors, enhance compliance, and eliminate repetitive tasks through innovative process improvements.
The Associate Technical Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Technical Leads, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and Project Managers—throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). They will contribute to solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that align with both technical standards and strategic business objectives.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
  • Lead project delivery by leveraging strong technical expertise to ensure successful and timely outcomes.
  • Contribute to project execution through efficient resource utilization and proactive resolution of blockers.
  • Analyse, document, and propose solutions that align business requirements with appropriate technical implementations.
  • Participate in the application design process, ensuring components are well-structured, high-performing, and scalable—utilizing multi-instance architecture where applicable.
  • Prioritize adherence to development guardrails to maximize application compliance scores.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of application architecture, with a focus on .NET, Kofax TotalAgility (KTA), ECS, and related frameworks.
  • Maintain and manage rulesets in line with established standards and best practices.
  • Actively engage in the full software development lifecycle, including development, testing, implementation, and documentation of technical solutions.
  • Automate manual business processes to enhance efficiency and achieve measurable cost and time savings.
  • Drive innovation by generating creative solutions and identifying opportunities to improve business services and processes.
  • Show a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strive for ongoing improvement in both technical skills and business domain knowledge.
Operational Management
  • Design and develop high-quality, quick-to-market IT solutions within an Agile environment.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, resolve coding bugs, and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with vendor partners to ensure timely and uninterrupted delivery of work.
  • Contribute to the development of new team standards, methodologies, and processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of development efforts.
  • Provide input on business processes to help deliver commercially viable and effective solutions.
People Leadership
  • Engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for the development of effective IT solutions.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to junior developers and team members.
  • Coach and mentor team members to strengthen specific technical and functional skills aligned with individual and business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and promote effective use of technology for problem-solving.
  • Lead and inspire the team to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in both technical expertise and business acumen.
  • Conduct timely reviews of team deliverables across all project phases—planning, analysis, design, development, and testing—and provide support as needed to enhance overall team performance.
Governance & Risk
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support MUFG Group assurance programs by promoting effective risk management and compliance practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new team standards, methodologies, and processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of development work.

Experience & Personal Attributes
Experience
  • Over 10+ years of total experience, including 5+ years of hands-on experience in Kofax Total Agility (KTA) application development.
  • Proficient in C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, .NET Core/.NET, with strong backend development capabilities.
  • Skilled in Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL Server for efficient data access and manipulation.
  • Familiar with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React (optional but advantageous).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with document processing applications such as CM and RM8.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering technical solutions in virtual environments using CM, particularly within the KTA customer services framework for financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing clear and effective technical and business documentation.
  • Strong command of C# .NET and MS-SQL.
  • Experience in RESTful API development and a solid understanding of general API concepts.
  • Automation & Scripting: PowerShell, Python (for automation and integration tasks)
  • Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation and SOAP-based services.
  • Exposure to MODAX for scanning, OCR, and indexing (good to have).
  • Kofax Total Agility certification from Tungsten (good to have).
  • Knowledge of customized MODAX workflows and business processes (good to have).
