Automation Test Engineer - API Testing

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled AccelQ Automation Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience to join our Bangalore-based team on a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AccelQ automation tools and strong expertise in various types of manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, managing API testing, and supporting the testing lifecycle within an Agile environment.

This role demands a strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and excellent troubleshooting skills to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various manual testing activities including regression, sanity, integration, functional, and non-functional testing.
• Develop and execute automated test cases using AccelQ.
• Conduct API testing leveraging tools such as Postman.
• Write and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to integrate testing efforts seamlessly within sprints.
• Conduct testing for mobile platforms including Android and iOS.
• Utilize Jira for defect tracking, reporting, and test management.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues arising during testing to identify root causes and suggest solutions.
• Monitor test execution and provide timely reports on testing progress and outcomes.
• Document and present testing results and findings to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on manual and automation testing.
• Proven experience with AccelQ automation tool is mandatory.
• Solid understanding of manual testing types including regression, sanity, integration, and functional/non-functional testing.
• Hands-on experience in API testing and tools like Postman.
• Knowledge of Android and iOS mobile testing platforms.
• Strong experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools, specifically Jira.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
