Automation Test Engineer

Overview

Experience in API testing using postman

Strong knowledge of JavaScript scripting for test automation within Postman.

Experience running automated API tests using Newman in command-line or CI environments.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and API testing best practices.

Experience working with JSON, XML, and related validation techniques.

Experience in integrating API tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Basic understanding of backend systems or databases.

Experience with API mocking and contract testing.

Exposure to version control systems like Git.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development environments.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Product team and other QA Engineers to develop effective strategies, test plans and use cases.

Execute test cases and analyze results. Evaluate product code according to specifications

Create logs to document testing phases and defects

Report defect to development teams

Help troubleshoot issues and document ever-evolving workflows and issue resolutions.

Conduct post-release or post-implementation testing

Comfortably run and read automated test scripts, own prioritization of use cases to be scripted, contribute to code reviews, write medium-high complexity test scripts independently

Serve as a point person for providing testing estimates and communicating test plan, report metrics and conduct reviews/audits to ensure that all project work and deliverables consistently meet Product Quality standards

Support and mentor other Software Test Engineers

Map business and technical requirements into test cases and/or test scripts

Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices

Data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities

Reporting team/project metrics

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹354,863.89 - ₹1,479,640.46 per year
