Automation Test Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with 4–6 years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to integrate automation testing into the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with TestNG or JUnit.
• Ensure test coverage by translating business requirements into effective automated test cases.
• Identify, analyse, and report defects with detailed documentation and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Review and enhance existing automation frameworks based on industry best practices.
• Utilise debugging tools and logs to identify and troubleshoot issues during test execution.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices.

Required Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Core Java and solid understanding of OOP principles.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and test frameworks like TestNG/JUnit.
• Familiarity with automation design patterns and different types of test automation frameworks (e.g., keyword-driven, data-driven, hybrid).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git, Perforce, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write moderately complex queries for data validation.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills related to test script failures and test environment issues.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
