Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive SDET to establish a robust test automation framework for both UI and API testing using Playwright with JavaScript and RESTAssured library. You will play a critical role in building the automation infrastructure, designing test strategies, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring developers and QA engineers in best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build a scalable, maintainable, and robust test automation framework for UI and API testing using Playwright with JavaScript and RESTAssured library.
• Define the test automation strategy and roadmap in alignment with the development and DevOps teams.
• Work closely with developers, QA analysts, DevOps, and product managers to identify test requirements and coverage.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Implement API testing frameworks using Playwright or complementary tools/libraries as needed.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure stable test execution in all environments.
• Establish best practices for test automation, including test data management, reporting, and logging.
• Continuously evaluate and improve automation test coverage and effectiveness.
• Provide training and guidance to the QA and development teams on the new framework and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer, preferably in setting up frameworks from scratch.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and JavaScript and RESTAssured library for both UI and API automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript testing frameworks and tools such as Mocha, Jest, or similar.
• Experience with RESTful API testing, including tools like Postman, Bruno.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies.
• Ability to work independently in a zero-automation environment and build processes from the ground up.

Nice to Have:

• Selenium with Java automation knowledge required.
• Experience with Docker and containerized test execution.
• Knowledge of test reporting tools (e.g., Allure, ReportPortal).

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
