Summary

To enhance the quality assurance process by developing and executing automated test scripts, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to system analysis and debugging.

Ensures smooth delivery of quality software by creating reliable automated tests, organizing test data, and supporting team efforts in resolving technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases and document bugs or defects found during testing.
• Create and debug test scripts using Playwright library.
• Use Browser Developer Tools to check DOM elements, verify services, and debug using the console.
• Apply principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and coding standards (e.g., SOLID).
• Create, analyse, and organize test scripts for automation based on system requirements and risk analysis.
• Build and structure test data to ensure repeatable and reliable test results.
• Perform small modifications in CI/CD pipelines as needed for test automation.
• Mentor junior team members and enhance their skills in automation testing.
• Investigate and resolve systems issues using available tools.
• Collaborate with developers to debug and resolve defects.
• Engage in basic backend testing and validate APIs or services where applicable.
• Participate in clarifying requirements and contribute to project estimation meetings.
• Willingness to take on additional reasonable tasks aligned with skills.
  
  

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  
  

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
  
  

Skills And Knowledge

• Proficiency in creating and executing automation test scripts using Playwright.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with ISTQB Foundation Level (or equivalent) concepts and their practical application in testing processes.
• Proficiency in programming languages like C#.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and source code management tools like Git.
• Ability to create XPath and CSS selectors to locate web elements.
• Experience with backend testing, including validating APIs and verifying data integrity.
• Smoothly operates QA tools and consistently adheres to team standards.
• Communicates effectively, actively listens, and contributes positively to projects.
• Thorough understanding of industry best practices and automation methodologies.
• Proficiency in debugging and resolving moderately complex issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply creative thinking.
• Familiarity with non-functional testing concepts like performance testing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with GDPR and GCP compliance standards.
