Automation Test Engineer (with 3+ years experience)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Selenium and UFT (Unified Functional Testing). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure software quality and functionality. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to identify test requirements and enhance overall test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and UFT.
• Create and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
• Analyze test results and report defects with detailed documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, QA analysts, business analysts) to understand requirements and translate them into test scripts.
• Maintain and enhance the automation test suites to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis of test failures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in test automation.
• Schedule and execute automated test runs in CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, and automation dashboards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation testing with Selenium and UFT.
• Strong proficiency in Java or C# for Selenium and VBScript for UFT.
• Solid understanding of test automation frameworks (e.g., Hybrid, Keyword, Data-Driven).
• Experience in test management tools such as ALM, JIRA, or TestRail.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• ISTQB or other software testing certification.

Familiarity with BDD/TDD approaches and tools such as Cucumber or TestNG.

Pay: ₹325,706.24 - ₹1,219,443.85 per year
