Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, API automation, and database testing. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of automation frameworks, testing strategies, and be able to collaborate effectively with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
• Implement and execute API automation tests using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Perform database testing (SQL queries, data validation, stored procedures, schema validation).
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks for web and API testing.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and test case design.
• Identify, log, and track defects through defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
• Execute test cases across different environments and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, coding standards, and continuous improvement in automation practices.
• Provide test execution reports and support root cause analysis for defects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
• Strong experience with Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.
• Proficiency in API testing and automation (REST, SOAP).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
• Solid understanding of test automation frameworks (e.g., POM, BDD with Cucumber).
• Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python for automation scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
