Position Summary

Level: Consultant

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

As a automation tester, you will be responsible to analyze functional requirements, design test scenarios/ cases/ scripts, RTM, perform test execution, document defects, triage defects, document results and attain sign-off of the design & results.

Work you’ll do:

Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

• Participating in business requirements discussions with client, onshore or offshore teams and attaining any clarifications to design test scenarios/ cases/ scripts.
• Designing clean, efficient, and well-documented performance test scenarios/ scripts and maintaining industry & client standards, based on business requirement analysis.
• Provisioning the test data required to perform test execution.
• Performing automated test execution, logging defects, tracking, and triaging defects to closure, and documenting test results.
• Creating automated test results/ reports.
• Tracking and resolving dependencies that impact test activities.
• Reporting and escalating any risks/ issues which are blocking test activities.
• Experienced in developing automation solutions using industry standard delivery methodologies like Agile, Waterfall across different architectural patterns.
• Writing well-formatted, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code maintaining industry standards, ensuring code quality and code coverage adherence, as well as debugging and resolving any issues/ defects.
• Participating in delivery process like agile development and actively contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Responsible for designing and executing manual/ automated tests and reporting defects in the system.
• Deliver end-to-end automation along with functional testing and status reporting with effective communication.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills / Project Experience:

• 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using selenium with good knowledge on JAVA/ C#/ Python, web services, Appium and API testing.
• Ability to handle exceptions, file I/O, API interactions, and database.
• Understanding how to manage test data effectively, including creating, maintaining, and using test data sets.
• Deep understanding of STLC and defect life cycle process
• Experience in Agile/ Waterfall methodology using JIRA/ Trello/ qTest/ Opentext ALM
• Experience in GIT/ Bitbucket/ SVN, CI/CD using Jenkins/ Bamboo
• Experience in BDD/TestNG Hybrid/ Data/ Keyword framework in a cross-browser environment.
• Ability to perform estimation of work products
• Experience in test status reporting and leading a small team of 2-3 members.
• Flexibility to adapt and apply innovation to varied business domain and apply technical solutioning and learnings to use cases across business domains and industries.
• Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools.
• Effective communication within the team and the ability to follow instructions.
• SQL knowledge to perform database testing and data validation.
  
  

• Experience in additional test automation tools such as TOSCA\ UFT\ Ui-Path
• ISTQB/CSTE Testing Certifications
• Cloud-related certification like AWS/GCP/Azure, etc.
• 4-6 years of prior experience working with selenium, UI testing, web-services testing
  
  

• B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc. (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
