Job Description
A Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure and services to support business operations, application deployment, and data management. The role involves collaboration with development, security, and operations teams to ensure robust, efficient, and secure cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture: Design, build, and maintain cloud solutions leveraging platforms such as AWS; develop cloud architecture to support organizational needs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Deployment & Automation: Implement automated deployment solutions using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines to streamline application releases.
Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor cloud services for usage, performance, and cost, and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Security & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to security best practices and compliance standards; manage cloud access controls, identity management, and data protection measures.
Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve cloud-related issues; provide technical support for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Integration: Facilitate the integration of on-premises systems with cloud services, ensuring seamless connectivity and data interoperability.
Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for cloud setup, processes, standards, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements
Minimum of 6 years of experience with 3 years hands-on AWS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of networking principles, cloud security, and DevOps practices.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.) are preferred.
